    Default Open to suggestions...

I'm currently carrying a SW9VE. It actually conceals decently with the Kholster, but I want something a little more comfortable to carry.

I have roughly $500 that I can dedicate to this, and am willing to throw the S&W in if it gets me something decent.

I want to stay in 9mm, since I have others of the same caliber, and a decent little store of it. I want to stick with the higher capacity, but am willing to drop a bit, if needed.

I like the M&P, but not the Kahr.

    Any suggestions????

Short mags are 10 rounds, but get the 17 round mags for the SR9 full size as a backup

Find yourself a sweet deal on a used Sig 225(akaP6), 228 or 229.

I'm not a fan of the angle of the grips...it isn't natural to me.

I tried one when my wife and I bought her gun...we both agreed that the Kahr CW9 fit better.

There's used ones out there in the $500 range, you just gotta keep up on it because they go quick at that price.

I got my 225 for $350. It's not a very high capacity gun, 8 rounds w/ factory mags but the plus is it's an absolutely well built and reliable gun.

I like compact/subcompact versions of bigger pistols so that I can utilize the small package for good concealment, but stuff a standard capacity magazine into it for when needed.

Since you already are carrying the S&W, I suggest carrying it for a little while longer and save up a little bit more. A slightly larger budget may open up alot more options to you. If you have to stay in that budget, I'll suggest looking at glock. A 19 or a 26 (I believe) are the 9mm compact and sub-compact versions. If you shop around you should be able to find a used, like new in or close to your price range.

I just saw one at a recent show that was a sweet $1450. It is a nice gun though, if you got the scratch...and the stones to tell mama what you did with $1450.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

i would recommend the glock 26 for concealment. i usually carry the 19, sometimes my 17 too. i'm always wearing a windbreaker or pullover so concealment isn't a big deal for larger frames.

if you are a glock hater go with: beretta px4 storm or cz 2075 rami.

lately i have been carrying one of my 1911 i just like fullsize, i'm not a great shooter and if something forces me to defend myself i rather start with my most accurate gun. i still carry my glocks once in awhile depending on the situation but i've gotten used to the larger size.
