Sweeeeet! I'd love to add a 228 to the collection some day. For now I'll just have to be happy with my 225 and 226.

The P228 is a classic. Nice find! My wife and I have a few and would never part with them. They are in many folks opinion the perfect 9mm SIG.

I'll never get rid of my 228, in my opinion the best Sig Sauer ever made. Got in from a guy on PAFOA too!

Very nice!!! I'm looking for one myself. Did you get in from a member on here or from the gun shop?
Now less Glock, more H&K :)

I can't say how many times I've been to the range. It's countless. I've never shot one. Shot 229's and many 226's and 220's. Just never managed to be there at the right time for a 228. I saw one at a recent local show and the asking price was $1450.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Me, too. And, I'm also interested in the details.
IANAL. I don't give legal advice. I'm only stating my OPINION.
(Did I really need to say that on an Internet forum? LOL)

I know of someone selling one of these for a little over 500 dollars. Is this a fair price if the pistol is in decent shape? also if I dont love it, do you feel I would get most of my money back in a private sale at that price? Thanks in advance.

They sell on gunbroker for quite a bit more than 500. If I were in your position and wanted a 228, I would buy it. If you do not like it, you could recoup your money by selling it.
