Price check......Sig 1911 scorpion.
This is the pistol that currently has my attention. Has anyone noticed what they are going for in shops? Any information, as always, is greatly appreciated.

Looks like new ones on gunbroker are going for $900-$1000 so shops probably aren't too far off. Haven't seen one in my LGS.

I had my eye on them too but I found a lot of complaints about the gun. Then quite a few slightly used ones started showing up for sale. I'd check it out and see why some people are not happy with it.
It is an awesome looking gun and I liked how it felt in my hand.

Looked at one late last year for $899 at a LGS. Haven't seen one for sale since.

Re: Price check......Sig 1911 scorpion.
$939 at Buds.
You should do a Sig Scorpion search here and on the 1911 forum. Quite a few people own them, but not everyone happy. I can deal with problems on a $500 1911, but one that is a G-note...it needs to operate 100% out of the box. Assembly line painting of guns isn't like painting a car. The paint on a gun can actually cause a failure if not applied correctly, and Sig just doesn't have the process down 100%. If you want a Sig 1911, look at one without the paint and get an actual gun painter to paint it for you.BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Re: Price check......Sig 1911 scorpion.
I paid $1059 for mine at Gander Mountain (which price matched cabelas) for the 5" version. The 4" carry is about $100 less.
I love mine, shoots great, is comfortable, and its what I wanted.Stay armed my friends.
