NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course

This course is ideal for new or curious shooters and is 8-hours long. This class includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Participants learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Participants will receive all necessary handbooks, papers, charts, and additional coursework included with the cost of the course. Pistols will be provided for use during the course and the cost of range fees and ammunition is included in the cost of the course. This course includes a certificate of completion. Lunch is included.

NOTE: This course meets the training requirements for New Jersey and Florida concealed weapon permits.
