Default NO final vote on Senate Gun Bill-Shelved for another try

Well title says it all. A final vote by the senate would have ended this until after December--never a final vote per article below (just out), so Sen Reid can start "all over again" at his discretion "if circumstances change".

So...the cloud hangs over us. CNN Article

CNN Chief Congressional Correspondent Dana Bash (CNN) -

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will set aside proposed gun legislation on Thursday without a final vote
following the defeat a day earlier of major provisions sought by President Barack Obama and Democrats in the aftermath of the Newtown school massacre, CNN has learned.

A Senate Democratic leadership aide said Reid can bring up the package of gun proposals again if circumstances change and he believes he has the votes for key provisions to pass, particularly a measure to expand background checks on gun buyers.
In a major defeat for supporters of tougher gun laws, the Senate on Wednesday defeated a compromise plan to expand background checks on firearms sales as well as a proposal to ban some semi-automatic firearms modeled after military assault weapons.

Imo.... We are one tragedy away from this being brought back. I feel bad for the people who were victims at the Boston Marathon and my thoughts are with them, but a part of me was relieved that it did not involve a man with a gun or else yesterday's votes could have gone much differently.

    As we feared.

This will give them time to guilt people into supporting it, hoping for another tragedy.

Time could of course also kill any support for it at all, people are waking up to their freedoms being taken away.

Any bill the Senate passes has to go through the house. Since this has not passed the Senate, it will not go to the house.

Give it a few more months. Maybe a year at most and they will have psych drugged up a new errand boy to shoot up a school to show the cou try what happens when we don't bend over and take it.

Sadly they still may use the Boston bombing to their advantage. Who knows what will be "found" in the residence of the patsy...err... suspect/s eventually charged for the bombing.
