Basic Handgun Course - $325.00 (includes range fee)

Our basic handgun (semi-auto) course is designed for individuals with limited familiarity and proficiency in the use of semi-automatic handguns. This eight (8) hour course will provide the inexperienced shooter an opportunity to gain basic proficiency in safe firearm handling, deployment (draw) from the holster, proper shooting fundamentals (stance, grip, presentation, sight picture, sight alignment & recoil management), threat assessment and engagement, situational awareness, reloading while engaged (combat reload) and malfunction clearance procedures.

To attend this course, students must possess a semi-automatic handgun (in good and fully functioning condition) chambered in one of the listed calibers, three (3) magazines, a firearm belt holster, a magazine belt pouch and two hundred (200) rounds of full metal jacket (FMJ) ammunition.

Range Attire & Mandatory Equipment

Sturdy belt (belt with stiffener insert designed for support of holstered firearm recommended)
Handgun belt holster (may be inside or outside pants, but must retain form to allow one hand holstering)
Magazine belt holster/pouch (one or two magazine capacity)
Hearing protection (earplugs are acceptable, but quality ear "muffs" designed for shooting are recommended)
Eye protection (clear or amber, wrap-around style, must be ballistic resistant quality)
Baseball cap (your choice of color and/or team logo - Go 9'ers! ;-) )
Full length pants (NO SHORTS!)
Shirt with high/closed neckline (Hot brass will make you dance - not a good thing with a firearm in your hand! Shirt must be & remain tucked in.)
Sturdy shoes (Must be closed toe. Make sure they're comfortable, you'll be standing on concrete!)



Registration & Vetting


Individuals wishing to participate in GTG firearm training must verify they have a clear criminal history. This verification may be presented via production of a valid Concealed Carry Permit (LTCF) of any state, military identification, law enforcement identification, government issued professional licensing or a signed statement from a law enforcement agency of the registrant's state of residency.

All course registrants acknowledge the inherent risks associated with live fire firearm training. Registrants express their willingness to enter into an indemnification and hold harmless agreement, releasing Global Training Group, it's principals, employees, contractors and range facility from any and all responsibility and attendant liability as a result of injury or death associated therewith. Registrant's indemnification and waiver of liability shall be binding upon registrant's heirs, assigns and/or personal representative/s.
