    Default New State Senate Leader

New Majority leader Dominic Pileggi views on guns from local paper full article attached.

Guns: ''I firmly believe in the importance of the Second Amendment. I don't belong to the [National Rifle Association] and I don't hunt. On the other hand, I see the amount of violence in our urban areas because of handguns and I believe we have to look at any strategy?[But] I think we have more of an enforcement problem than not having the right laws on the books.''

So basically he states the issues from both sides, avoids making a statement or taking a stand, and plays it safe???

    *sigh

maybe...or maybe he is actually just open-minded and intends to take an objective look at the issue and make rational decisions rather than emotional or dogmatic ones.

one can always hope, at least.

I don't know for sure after reading that article. It seemed to me that he leans toward the lawlesness issue being one of enforcement, but I don't know that I would be willing to take that to the bank.

To me, he sounds like he's trying to be all things to all people.
