Pioneer gunshop shooting in Altoona
So I just saw the news articles on the WTAJ phone app that Bob from Pioneer accidentally shot himself while cleaning a rifle. He was hit in the abdomen, 911 was called, and he was taken to the hospital. They claim that he'll be OK and back to work at the shop.

Never heard of this shop, and now I'll be sure to never go into it.
Hope the guy is OK, but someone should send him a safety manual instead of a get well card...

Re: Pioneer gunshop shooting in Altoona
I've been trying to figure out how this happened. I mean...not only was the gun loaded, but it somehow was pointed at his body. How does that happen? I was thinking that maybe it was on a bench and he walked in front of it maybe? I don't know.

Re: Pioneer gunshop shooting in Altoona
That was not an accidental discharge, it was a negligent discharge. I hope he's OK.

This story dispels the saying "any publicity is good publicity".

Re: Pioneer gunshop shooting in Altoona
The story on the WTAJ website says repairing a gun. Maybe he was doing some kind of function test. I guess it works.

BOTH are proper words to use. I hate seeing people constantly correct each other on here with AD vs ND. its like the whole LTCF vs CCW or clip vs magazine bullcrap all over again.
