AR pistol muzzle device...
Alright guys, just got done my 10.5" AR pistol build. Shoots straight as an arrow, just a little silly to shoot. Right now I have the Rainier Arms RMC muzzle break on it. Works like its supposed to, recoil is alot nicer. My problem is, when i actually try to aim it, the giant fireball 10 inches from my face haha. Just wondering what every one else is running on their pistol. Should I go flash hider to quiet it down, or just man up and deal with the big boom....

You could always pick up a flash hider with external threads and the run a shield on it. The flash hider will reduce flash and the shield will direct the blast forward. Not cheap for both together but neither is an AR.

AAC also has a flash hider comp combo (brakeout) but I do not know how it would work with the shield. The prong type flash hiders are usually the most effective for flash reduction.

Re: AR pistol muzzle device...
Thanks for the input so far. The AAC and the Vortex are definitely on the list. I love the look of the kx3 hiding in a rail, but the weight, length, and cost make me look else where.

Re: AR pistol muzzle device...
Concussion and fireballs are a bit par for the course in the SBR/AR pistol territory.
I just got rid of a 7.5" upper in 7.62x39mm. I had an A2 on it. The concussion was moderate - to obscene. The flash was relatively tolerable. I was considering something along the lines of the Troy Claymore.
Although I could do without all the knurling and points. So probably something from Kies.
These should direct the blast forward. You are still going to get fireballs.

I have the PWS CQB on my SBR. It directs all the muzzle flash forward and it works great.

I run a Troy claymore on a 7.5" barrel. No complaints about recoil too loud or fireballs too big from myself.
