Re: LTCF woes Montgomrey County
I have confirmed that. http://www.pottstown.org/DocumentCenter/View/276
Total BS if you ask me. Sounds like they don't even do anything with the card. At least my PD checked their records to see if I was a trouble maker or lived in a crack house.

Re: LTCF woes Montgomrey County
But Upper Merion did charge you. They charged you your time to go over there and your pride in terms of begging yet another overlord for your rights that are supposed to be guaranteed under TWO constitutions, state and federal.

I just feel that the more people push back, the better. It's not done anywhere else, except maybe Philly, but that's a whole different ball of wax.
Philly makes Montco look like a paradise.

Hardly.
Please, elaborate on your statement.
If you do not want to visit your PD, don't. Let the Sheriff do the legwork.
If you want to fast track your application, visit your PD.
If your Township charges a separate fee, contact your board of supervisors and vote out the ones that support the fee.

Re: LTCF woes Montgomrey County
I disagree. The problem is with the sheriff. She is making the LTCF applicant do an extra step that is not required for them to do.
The township is charging for a service that the sheriff is requiring (or you can wait the 45 days). Why should the township have to use their man hours to do the sheriff's leg work.
You don't like it, vote out the sheriff. There are too many people in Montco that are willing to cave in to the sheriff and do her work.
