Default another company leaving Ct LETS GET ON IT

I literally just found this on cheaper than dirts face book page an have yet to get a contact link for the company lets try an get them here in pa .
PTR Industries, producers of many popular semi-automatic rifles, just announced that they will be leaving their state of Connecticut following the passage of new gun control legislation. PTR issued a press release stating:

"The rights of the citizens of CT have been trampled upon. The safety of its children is at best questionably improved from the day of the tragedy that triggered the events tha...t lead us here. Finally, due to an improperly drafted bill, manufacturing of modern sporting rifles in the State of CT has been effectively outlawed. With a heavy heart but a clear mind, we have been forced to decide that our business can no longer survive in Connecticut -the former Constitution state."

PTR Industries has not announced where the company will relocate, though they have stated the plan on having a site identified within the next six weeks.

    Then there's this:

Colt, which has produced firearms in Hartford for 175 years, is considering the move because of the pro-gun-control climate created following the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown in December.

Thre's also talk of Stag, Ruger and others going elsewhere.

I sent them an email urging them to consider Pa and urge everyone to send similar emails. While it'd be great for politicians to urge them, the will of the people is equally strong.

Pennsylvania, the cradle of the American rifle, would be a perfect place. The Commonwealth is blowing it big time if they are not making the pitch to Colt, Stag, Ruger, Remington, Kimber etc. Almost unbelievably, CT Governor Malloy and the liberal Dems are taunting these industries, insulting them, their executives and employees and basically saying "don't let the door hit you on the way out". Those are the firearms makers but I think CT has a lot of companies that make accessories too. I then think of Pennsylvania cities with so much unused industrial space and capacity like Scranton, Harrisburg and others that could begin their revitalization with these solid manufacturing industries with the jobs they bring. Sadly, the urban centers are all run by leftist liberal Democrats (as opposed to moderate Democrats) and would probably prefer to wallow in self-pity and continue as spendthrifts in decline rather than allow the evil black rifles to be produced in their jurisdictions. Whoever are Mayors of these PA cities should be on this faster than Corbett, but I doubt they even know of this opportunity. They will let the outlying towns and counties pick up the slack. I could see Pittsburgh not being phased and Philly would rather chart its statist/socialist course to ruin, but Scranton, Wilkes Barre, Harrisburg and others that I can't think of at the moment would probably greatly benefit.

I have to say though that these gun industries are probably looking close at Senator T right now. If he sells out to the Dems as is being widely reported in the media, I doubt any of them are going to go to PA to watch it become the next CT, NY or NJ (coming soon to the land of gun grab) and be forced to move again. The will probably head south and make their final stand there.

Not to mention in southern states many of the tax laws are more business friendly than PA. While I'd like to see some of these names come to Pennsylvania, taxes, not to mention union rules, make new manufacturing here a likely 'no' when a company can move elsewhere and not be burdened with either higher taxes or unionization. (Note: Not picking on or bashing the unions here, just a fact of life and business that labor could be cheaper down south without having to worry about the threat of a strike.)

If I were in charge of finding a new place to move a company to, Pennsylvania would be near the bottom of my list of potential States.

I would like to think that the Unions would get behind this. What good is a union if there are no jobs? I could be wrong, but I have always thought that your basic union Dem in PA (teachers unions excepted) was probably pro-2A and would not be easily inclined to follow some well-heeled union idealogue who would want to suck the lifeblood out of a Colt or a Stag operation. PA is about the only Blue state I can think I could live in for that reason. It is blue, but not NY or NJ Blue.
