Our Worst Nightmare

An organization (English First) which has as its goal that immigrants need to learn to speak English scored her as having 0% in common with their cause. Something many in Pennsylvania would disagree with.

She scored equally low for all the issues (listed as an alignment with traditional American/family values) I listed by various organizations.

Some of those are rights, as you correctly listed, some are not exactly rights (like patriotism or illegal immigration reform), but overall they show a picture of not being in alignment with values that are common to many in Pennsylvania.

This includes her stance on abortion and having run an abortion clinic in Philly for 13 years.

I'm not out to define if any of the things she stands for are good or bad, my opposition to her is based on the single issue we discuss on this site: gun politics.

This information is for those of you who knows someone who might vote for her, but would change their mind if they felt differently about some of those subjects. There are many die hard party line people out there who might not agree with her position on these issues.

I'm with you on Felons needing at least a cool-off period before they can vote, and possibly also the same for people who are living on government handouts. Look at European socialist utopias where people keep voting for more welfare and more government positions because they depend on them while the government's finances run out. Greece for example.

But when the people in charge depend on those votes, you won't see them scramble to pass laws to limit them. Why else would there be such a resistance to having to show photo ID to vote? I don't buy the racism argument, anyone can get a state ID if they are eligible, its cheap (make it free if you can't afford it) and doesn't take long.

Not saying Christie is great but he's way better than corzine and the ONLY reason they haven't pushed their anti-gun bills through in NJ like they did in CT, CO, NY and MD.

So far, nothing short of a miracle we are still in this fight.

They wanted to revitalize the clinton/biden assault weapons ban. Except this time it would be the obama/biden assualt weapons ban. He then used an executive order to protect anti-gun attorney general holder.

They are ALL looking for Constitutional loop-holes.

The Hellar vs D.C. and McDonald vs Chicago were both 5/4 votes.

That's why obama wants to appoint liberal justices of "empathy."

The U.S. Supreme Court is only one justice away from destroying the Constitution.

They also could care less about gays or illegals.

I agree about the public handouts, but that would not fly. The blocking felons from voting though has passed constitutional muster and if people value our gun rights in PA i guarantee that is one way to stop someone like schwartz from becoming governor because it would greatly neutralize philly.

The libs are moving everywhere. The west coast is now called the left coast.

They ruined CA and now moving up to the Northwest. in MT & ID.

They moved up the I-5 corridor into OR and WA state.

They ruined the beautiful state CO which is now more liberal than NJ.

WI is Chicago's biggest state park. They head to WI for the weekend like NYC people head for the Poconos and Catskills.

This mental disorder is being taught in our schools and universities.

They're having trouble pushing their anti-gun agenda on a national level so now they are attacking one state at a time.
