Here you go:

Proceed at your own risk. I'd recommend buying replacement springs first, just in case you either screw up or don't like the results.
A better course of action would be to spend the $120 and purchase a drop in replacement, like a Rock River Two stage. You can easily do it yourself.

Re: Trigger pull on an Ar-15
+1, as a simple matter of probabilities and the small margin of error in trigger groups, there is a decent chance you will not achieve desired results with home modification of springs. If you don't want to drop the coin for a full replacement of trigger components, you can try just polishing the all the interacting faces of the trigger/hammer/etc. and test the feel without modifying the springs. Or polish the surfaces and then buy a precision/reduced power spring set for far less than $120. Here is a $12 kit from Brownells http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts...-prod7582.aspx
I think these springs plus a good polishing will give you the results you want.

Re: Trigger pull on an Ar-15
I altered the springs, polished the contact points (by hand) & put a set screw in the hand grip hole to take up trigger travel (http://www.junkyardgenius.com/firearms/ar-15/ar08.html). I had to file down the trigger slightly to get the safety to work after putting in the set screw. I figured if I messed anything up, replacement parts aren't that expensive.
It turned out great. Turned my gritty, rough trigger into a smooth "click" - that nice candy cane break.
This wasn't my first trigger work though - not sure of your prior experience. I'd recommend going slow & using knife sharpening stones or something similar when polishing. If you have high grit wet/dry sand paper, you can set it on a flat, hard surface & polish with that. I polished the pins with my fingers & some Mother's aluminum polish. You don't want to round any of the edges at all - leave the dremel on the shelf.
