Question about Glock 27
I have a question for glock 27 owners. I just bought a new gen 3 g27 and noticed when the slide is locked back, the guide rod looks crooked and is leaning towards one side (when looking at muzzle end). I was curious if anyone knows if this is normal?

Re: Question about Glock 27
I just checked mine and it does appear to be pointing a little to the right. I have fired hundreds of rounds through this G27 with no issues.

Re: Question about Glock 27
I just checked mine and its almost perfectly centered. If your pistol is running well I don't think I would be concerned about it but if it is troubling you, you can use it as an excuse to buy an aftermarket rod

Re: Question about Glock 27
yeah mine is leaning a good amount. theres twice the amount of space on the right compared to the left. Pretty crooked looking, but I shot 50 rounds and it works.

Re: Question about Glock 27
I guess some rods hang a little to the left (or right)

Re: Question about Glock 27
Since it has so much flexability I can't imagine its an issue. Have you tried pushing it to the far left to see if it comes back closer to center?

Just checked my 22, 19, and 26 all are perfectly straight. Odd.

Re: Question about Glock 27
Is Glock still giving out a free first year of GSSF membership with new purchases? If so, and if you are still concerned about it toward the end of summer, you can take it to the GSSF match in Topton, PA August 17 - 18 and have a Glock armorer check it out for free. (Well, at no extra charge anyway.)
Last summer the armorer at the Topton match replaced (at no charge) the guide rod and two springs whch needed to be upgraded in my Glock 19. GSSF is fun to shoot, and the match entry fee is reasonable (especially if the membership is already paid for).
(You could also send the 27 back to Georgia to have it checked out, but that would leave you without it in the mean time.)I am not a lawyer. Nothing I say or write is legal advice.
