recommendations for rear sight adjustment tool
I'm looking at getting a rear sight adjustment tool. never had one, if needed i usually take a wood dowel rod and do some light pounding. i've seen them anywhere from $50-300. anyone have good recommendations? thanks in advance

I have this one and it's great:http://www.midwayusa.com/product/163...ear-sight-tool
The only thing I suggest is placing a penny between the sight and pusher to prevent marring the sight.

Re: recommendations for rear sight adjustment tool
I use a $3.00 automatic punch, with the tip filed dull, and shimmed with a coin or small washer to prevent marring/dimpling of the sight.

Re: recommendations for rear sight adjustment tool
They've changed the design. There is a new pusher that doesn't rotate when you turn the screw. I haven't ordered the update kit yet. I think it was $32.50. There should be a sticker on the bottom of the tool with an e-mail address and maybe a phone number.
The tool works well with Glocks and 1911 slides that are flat on the slides. It works less well with M&P slides, because they milled away parts of the slide, and it just wants to rotate when you try to push the sight. The rear sight of my M&P was really damn tight, too.Removed NRA Life Member pic. LaPierre and Chris Cox are ruining NRA.
