Phila bans guns in parks and playgrounds
Mayor nutter signed a bill today which will ban firearms in parks and playgrounds, if caught with a firearm you are subject to a $2000 fine. This bill goes against "The PA uniform firearms act" which states counties cannot pass there own gun laws. The administration is saying they can pass this law because they own the parks, I think this is BS and the law should be turned down by the state. This is just another instance of the city turning law abidding citizens into criminals.

Do you have link to a source on this?
Leave aside the preemption violation, it's hard to believe those statist maniacs would only make it a fine and imprisonment.

Re: Phila bans guns in parks and playgrounds
Since 2010 there have been over 50 shootings at playgrounds and parks. I feel much safer knowing people can't bring guns to parks anymore
