My picture and some writting wore off my old one from my wallet rubbing against it. They actually advised me against against a new card since they would have to revoke my current license and then run me trough pics to print me out a license from the new machine.

I have had to replace mine twice due to rubbing off. Most recently (sometime last year) they put the finished product (of the older style) through a laminate machine. Now it is twice as thick as it used to be and stiff, but looks good as new still.
