1 day Tactical Pistol I w/ Low Light Shoot
This course is designed to introduce and reinforce to students the techniques, tactics, and knowledge necessary for fighting for your life with a combat pistol. There is a very heavy emphasis in this course on cultivating your combat mindset. This course takes students on the next step from basic target, bullseye pistol shooting and brings them into real world shooting situations.
Topics covered will be:
1) Firearms Safety Rules
2) Developing Proper Situational Awareness
3) 6 Fundamentals of Handgun Marksmanship
4) Reloads and Malfunction Clearing
5) HEAVY Emphasis on Use of Cover and Concealment
7) Turns and Facing Movements
8) Threat Discrimination
9) Night Shoot exercise
10) Unorthodox Shooting Positions
Required Equipment:
1) A quality pistol or revolver. Pistols must be at least 9mm, revolvers must be at least a .38 special.
2) A quality holster that maintains its shape after the handgun has been drawn. (Nylon and thin leather holsters that collapse when the handgun is drawn are not permited.) Kydex holsters are very strongly recommended. All holsters will be worn on the shooters strong side hip. Outside the Waist Band (OWB) holsters are required for this class. Quality kydex holsters made by manufacturers such as Raven Concealment Systems and Comp-Tac are very strongly recommended. Shoulder holsters, small of the back holsters, cross-draw holsters, fanny packs, and ankle holsters are not permitted.
4) A minimum of one spare magazine w/ belt worn mag pouch for pistol shooters. A minimum of one spare speed loader w/ belt worn speed loader pouch for revolver shooters. Bring as many spare magazines and speed loaders as you have - the more the better. Think about magazines and speed loaders the way women think about black shoes - you literally cannot have too many.
5) A high quality belt made to support the weight of a handgun, spare ammo, etc. The belt can be leather or a web style riggers-type belt. There are many good belt options out there - a $4.99 Made-In-Taiwan belt from Wal-Mart is not one of them.
6) 250 rounds of factory new or factory reloaded ammo.
7) A pistol mounted light is very, VERY strongly recommended. A quality handheld flashlight is required for ALL students, regardless of whether you have a light mounted on your weapon or not. An LED light with a minimum output of 200 lumens is very strongly recommended.
8) Clear and Tinted Eye Protection. If you can't afford to buy both - get clear.
9) Hearing Protection.
10) Clothing appropriate for weather conditions. BDU or cargo type pants with side pants pockets strongly recommended. Shoes or boots that lace.
11) An open mind, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Minimum class size is 8 students, maximum class size is 20 students. All students will be presented a certificate of achievement upon successfully completing the course.
All 3T courses are taught by certified instructors with years of military, law enforcement, and high threat security contracting experience in Iraq and Afghanistan. Threat discrimination and round accountability are core skills that are relentlessly emphasized.

Re: 1 day Tactical Pistol I w/ Night Shoot
A few questions came to mind:
Will we be able to collect our brass? (important for reloader's)
I have a weapon mounted light for my pistol but never carry it. ( holster not set up for light) should I bring the mounted light and handheld? I would prefer to train with handheld since that is the way I usually carry.FOAC Member, NRA Member

Chris,
1) Yes - absolutely. Everyone can pick up their brass.
2) If your holster does not accommodate the weapon mounted light, I would advise against using it and just go with the hand held.
