    Default M&p shield magazine problem

My s&w m&p shield magazine spring is messed up after my friend took it apart

Where can I buy a new one? Or can I call s&w to order and get it replaced?

    Call Smith and Wesson.

How did your friend mess up the mag spring?

Which model is it? If its 9mm, the mags can be found, been seeing them everywhere, of course I have the .40 version, so i have been SOL in finding extras.

He just took it apart and put it back. My 7th round wouldn't go in so we took it apart again and spring just gets tangled at the bottom when pressed.

Are you sure it's not in backwards? I haven't taken my wife's apart yet, but most mags require the spring to be inserted in a certain direction to match the slant on the mag. I know Sig mags are very finicky in this regard.

It's in correctly. When we close the end of the spring to the another end, it just gets tangled while other springs doesn't. Called s&w and they're sending me a new spring 8)
