    Default Glock Day at SPAG

I'll be at SPAG for Glock Day for a bit today..starting at about 11am.

I'll have on a maroon Phillies hat, some brown cargo shorts, and either a red or black Adidas warm up.

Say hi, if you see me.

I went today and got my membership. I didn't shoot any Glocks though, it was too packed. I did get to meet DanP and get a couple PAFOA stickers. I hope to meet some more forum members there since I should be going there quite a bit now that I have a membership.

I went right before they closed to renew my membership and finally got around to shooting a Glock.

Figured I'd try the original G17. I really liked the short trigger travel when shooting, accuracy was fine and something about the grip made follow up much easier than it normally is for me.

I don't know if the particular gun I used was modded or just well worn but there really seemed to be no "break" to speak of. Just pull, pull, bang. That and the short travel made me think that that it was great at the range but there is no way in hell I'd ever carry one without a safety. Too small a margin for error.

The only semi I will ever carry is either a Kahr or a Glock(I carry both )Glock primary-- Kahr BUG). No external safeties. Train with it . It'll do just fine.

I did mod the Glock to include a 3.5 connector and a NY1 trigger to get about a 6lb trigger pull and a more distinct trigger reset.

I was initially afraid to carry my Glock 23 due to it not having an external safety.
After training with it,it doesn't even enter my mind.

To each his own. Whatever you are comfortable in doing is the way to go.

Strange....the first shot should have quite a bit of "take-up" the short travel is normally only on the reset.....
