New to Wilkes-Barre

Hello all, I am new to the area, just moved to Wilkes-Barre from a communist country called Philadelphia.

I am a member of a gun club in bucks county and will stay a member there as I really like it there, but will also be looking for a club to join here. My carry permit is from Philadelphia so do I have to get it changed for here now, or can I do that at renewal? How long does it take here? Philadelphia and Dictator Nutter made it a very long process to obtain (longer than state law allowed), Im sure it is much better here.

Let me know where to shoot, and if there is ever any events planned in the area.

I do not know about transferring but everyone I know that has applied for a ltcf in Luzerne county has walked out with it the same day.

There is a state game land range out 118, about 30 minutes from the w/b.

Welcome to the area, You can also go to the state game lands they have a public range I got to the one in Toybahnna if you up for shooting some time let me know I am also looking to make new shooting friends.

You an check with the sheriffs office about the address change. Odds are he will tell you to wait until renewal time. It only takes fifteen twenty minutes to get a new one here.

There are a few clubs you can join in the area. Wilkes Barre rod and gun club is one. There are also several game ranges in the area.

Two good shops to check out is advanced arms in Pittston. And Piestracs in Nanticoke.

I myself live near Pittston. Give a yell if you need help finding something.
