    Default Help! Mossberg 1000

Last night my girlfriend picked up a Mossberg 1000, and I took it apart and cleaned it really well. After putting it back together I noticed when the bolt is locked open that the gas piston slides back and forth in the magazine tube.

If anyone is familiar with this model, could you let me if that is normal? I don't think I noticed it before because it was dirty and that was stopping it from moving from gravity alone.

    I appreciate any insight.

Thanks again, but I have already seen that. He doesn't touch that part of the gun in his video.

Its normal... hows it going to function if it can't move freely? With the bolt open there is nothing holding the piston in place.
