    Default Subcompact pistol lights

Any one share their experience here. Been thinking of getting one only real factors are it can't be huge, should be bright enough and not be to cheaply made. I was going to get a stream light tlr3 but after reading several reviews have declined that idea due to people claiming it breaks often. Shame I like their flashlights.

I've got zero issues with my TLR3 mounted on a M&P compact.
Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

I have a Viridian CL5 on my PF9. It's only slightly wider than the gun. It has a very bright light and a green laser in one compact little package.

Ill argue that putting a light on a subcompact negates the reason for buying a sub compact. I would vote for the money being spend on a good streamlight for actual carrying. Just picked up a 80 lumen streamlight 88039 for $25 shipped........

I think he was asking about a subcompact light like the TLR3, not a light on a subcompact gun.

I've never had a problem with either of mine either, be it on a handgun or my AR or shotgun.
I like the tlr3 for the price.

I always carry a flashlight or two on me in addition to the one that's on my PF9. I believe in redundancy.

Fair enough. Do you belt clip carry the pf9? I would imagine a light on a belt clipped pf9 would be uncomfortable to say the least. Would the light engage in you waist by itself too?

I'm currently having a holster made for the PF9 that incorporates the CL5. I'm left handed, so the belt clip doesn't work for me. Plus I don't like carrying a gun without some sort of holster.

Viridian actually offers a holster that will engage the light/laser when the gun is drawn, but again, they don't make one for us southpaws.

Same here. It's a great fit on the MP Compact or even my full size. It certainly doesn't make the compact feel front heavy which is nice.

I've shot a lot with it and took a low light course with it, holding up like new.
