    You've got "Have you ever had to use a firearm to defend yourself? " on the survey twice.

    Just took it for you. What is your thesis for the project? Is it something along the lines of victims of violent crimes are more likely to carry a firearm?

    Just an FYI:

    "Have you ever carried in a forbidden area? (casino, federal building, beyond a posted prohibition sign. Etc)"

    These are three very different things. There is a law against carrying in a federal building, there is a regulation (not a law) against casinos allowing people to carry, and there is no law or regulation against carrying beyond a posted prohibition.

    Also, I am assuming you realize that the people on a firearms board are going give responses somewhat shifted from where the average person (or even average firearm owner) would.

    In Pennsylvania, you cannot carry in elementary and secondary schools or courthouses. I also believe you cannot carry in post offices and on other federal property.

    Yes there is. Trespassing.

    It's not a firearm specific law. The sign could read that guests are required to wear a jacket and tie.

    (b) Defiant trespasser.--
    (1) A person commits an offense if, knowing that he is
    not licensed or privileged to do so, he enters or remains in
    any place as to which notice against trespass is given by:

    (i) actual communication to the actor;
    (ii) posting in a manner prescribed by law or
    reasonably likely to come to the attention of intruders;

    (iii) fencing or other enclosure manifestly designed
    to exclude intruders;
    (iv) notices posted in a manner prescribed by law or
    reasonably likely to come to the person's attention at
    each entrance of school grounds that visitors are
    prohibited without authorization from a designated
    school, center or program official; or
    (v) an actual communication to the actor to leave
    school grounds as communicated by a school, center or
    program official, employee or agent or a law enforcement
    officer.
    (2) Except as provided in paragraph (1)(v), an offense
    under this subsection constitutes a misdemeanor of the third
    degree if the offender defies an order to leave personally
    communicated to him by the owner of the premises or other
    authorized person. An offense under paragraph (1)(v)
    constitutes a misdemeanor of the first degree. Otherwise it
    is a summary offense.
    My reading is it is a summary offense to ignore a sign. If you don't leave when told then it becomes a M3 or a M1 if its school grounds.

    Read the questions and did not like the questions. I saw too many ways the answer could be use to further gun control.

    "proper firearms training" only by sanctioned class? bullshit. most if us received proper firearms training from family members and friends before we finished grade school.

    "city or suburbs"? most of us live in the country, dufus.

    it is lawful to carry without a liscense in PA.

    sounds like you grew up in the city and know nothing about guns, in general. how sad.

    Sorry, I was going to take the survey, but then saw this is your one & only post & to me that spells trouble. Too much of a chance you're an anti or just trolling for info to slant & spin. Nice try though
