    Default Ruger LC380

Just picked the new Ruger LC380 today. No pics as of right now but I'll post some later on when I get my camera. Taking to the range this weekend got three boxes of PMC. I'll get a half assed range report up eventually

I like mine. The only thing that I need to make an improvement is another mag.

Fair warning. The little thing kicks. I have one and it's great for a backup or to carry when you have to dress nice. But I don't like to shoot it a lot. It could be the size of my hand because a 1911 fits nice and I can shoot 300 rounds in an outting.

I wonder though why get a gun in 380 the same size as the 9mm version.

I have the LCP in .380 and I love it, and also have a cm9 9mm and love it too.

But what would be the reason in carrying a gun the same size as a 9mm in 380?

    Thanks for your insight

I don't have a problem with it kicking at all unless I am shooting Tulammo. Everything else I am shooting, I have no problem with the recoil.

When I bought my LC380, there were no LC9 anywhere to be found and it was one of those deals where the CFO gave me the green light and I was spending money before she changed her mind. If I had it to do over again, I would get the LC9, but I am hppy with the LC380.

Here is another thought, since the frames are the same, what will it take to convert an LC380 to a 9MM?

It looks like the same size as the LC9 - i compared at a gun shop and wonder why you chose the 380 over the 9mm if the same size - as 9mm is cheaper and a slight bit more powerful? Recoil?

Some people of smaller statute or weaker hands(e.g. older people) would prefer softer shooting .380.

Yes it certainly disappointed me that it only came with one mag.

What did you pay for yours? If you don't mind me asking.

I paid $399.99 at Cabelas and Gander had them for $449.99. It was a case of buying it when they had it.

That's not bad, little more than I picked mine up for.
