Default Rossi model 971 pistol (looking for holster)

I still have my first hand gun that I bought in late 90's. I am looking for a real nice leather holster that will fit the gun I think the barrel length is 2 1/2, cylinder in not fluted. Would any K frame holster work. of course I am left handed.

I found an Uncle Mike's for my Rossi 972. Left handed, no less! I realize my 972 has a considerably longer barrel than your 971, but at least this gives you a direction to look in.

As far a nice leather holster, you will probably have to get something custom. Not so much an issue with the gun itself, more the left handed thing. I understand it, as I am left handed myself. It sucks hunting for good holsters for lefties...

I haven't seen an Uncle Mike's in leather, just so you know. But I like the cloth one that I have for my 972. Just wish I could get it with a 'thumb release' type retention strap. As it is, I have to unsnap the retention strap before I can pull. I'm pretty quick at it, but I rely on my situational awareness to locate potential trouble so I have time to prepare.

I just bought this one from Holsterworldusa on EBAY. It was $45 shipped. It fits my Rossi 462 nicely. It was a little tight at first, but after a week it's perfect.

K-frame holsters will work for the 971 when sized for the proper barrel length.

I have a Rossi 720 which uses the same receiver and use K-frame holsters.

    I use a Bianchi model 7, Shadow II with my 3" 720. http://bianchi-intl.com/product/Prod.php?TxtModelID=7
