I'm sure when he turned, all the Democratic politicians across the state were high fiving each other saying "Yeah, those dolts fell for it". Hopefully this will turn out to be a positive and 2nd amendment advocates will remember this the next time a another Casey comes along and say "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

It's hard being a Pro-Life Democrat in Washington, DC.

By that I mean that Mr. Casey has to be "more Democrat than Democrat" about other "Progressive issues" so that other Democrats don't diss him for being "anti-Woman" or "anti-Choice".

Governor Casey was the very same way, even going to the point of wanting to ban Derringers as "assault weapons".

Abortion legislation never comes up in Congress at this point, so his position is irrelevant, aside from making him a useful token for the party to wave around as proof of their tolerance. I'm sure he'll have an Al Gore/Mitt Romney type conversion on the issue when he decides to run for national office.
