Stupid Hoarders!

I have one handgun I have maybe a box of ammo for and another I have maybe 150 rounds for. If I can't get ammo for them I don't really care, I just won't shoot them until I do. I just feel better having enough around to make them go bang if necessary. I only try to keep a good stock of about 6 calibers, with 3 being dominant - primary rifle, primary handgun/carbine, and .22 rimfire.

Yes, I have all the .22.

That's how I am operating. I have between 300-1200 rounds lying around for my various firearms, in fact right now I have more JHP's on hand for my 9mm than I do in FMJ. More than enough ammo for my firearms to go bang for awhile but I won't spend it on a range until I can get more on at least a semi-regular basis at reasonable prices. I made peace with the fact that it may be awhile before I can shoot regularly again, I don't like it but I am not losing sleep over it.

As for 22LR I have a decent amount on hand, enough that I might be able to make a straight trade with someone for a Tavor or an AUG A3.

and here I though I was smart.almost all the ammo I bought last year and yes I bought alot has almost doubled in price when you can find it.told my freinds to to stock up .cause you knew as soon as obama won. the ammo and gun run would start.plus the horrible mass shooting made things really go crazy.one funny thing the friends who didn't listen to me are now asking if I have any ammo to sell.my answer NO.those who plan and think ahead stand a better chance of makeing it then those who don't.proud to be a stupid hoarder.crazywolf

I for one have learned my lesson and will not be caught unprepared again. I'll admit it, I was short and I did know better, but now trying to live better.

I'm buying as much ammo as I can not because I feel the need to defend against an army but the political one. I feel that in a few years the government won't be able to touch our second amendment but there is nothing to protect us against our right to own ammo and I don't ever want myself or my kids to stop shooting because we cant afford ammo. I bet in ten years you all are going to wish you bought up all those 50.00 bricks of .22s you thought was too high.
