Pots to start your tomatoes and beans in.
I always stressed to my son"one shot one kill that was all that is needed". When He came home from Marine Corp Boot camp He was telling me about the Marines stressing "ONE SHOT ONE KILL" He looks at me and the light bulb went on Dad was now a whole lot smarter than he was 13 weeks ago.

Parts washer. I put mineral spirits about three inches deep in one, then soak gun parts caked in cosmoline, like Mosin bolts.
Didn't someone make a plastic lid for those cans a few years ago?

I use several to store reloading components (primers, bullets, shell casings).

It makes for a durable and portable tool box or nut/bolt/nail/screw storage.

I keep two on my gun bench. One is a catch all for various odds and ends, the other is used a a trash can for dirty patches and q-tips.
