tackle box gun

I need a new one. Would like to hear your suggestions. Open to any and all types of handgun and will entertain any brand.

I would pick your BEST gun... so that once you "accidentally" lose it overboard it wont be able to be confiscated when Bloomberg and Feinstein get their gun registry unless they want to go diving for it...lol

Seriously... a small sub compact should suffice for most situations....
Brand an model would be a personal preference...

I suggest carrying it in a holster and not in a tackle box. It is better to have it on your body when you need it than in a box full of hooks and sharp things. If you have identified your wish for a firearm for protection, do not half ass it. Buy it, train with it, carry it...

just about anything small and inexpensive is considered good for a tackle box gun. I'd say go with stainless for obvious reasons and a revolver is a better option to me since you can load up a few solids and a few rounds of snake shot in the cylinder.

Since fishing can be dirty i would say a small revolver . Another nice thing about about revolvers is you can use snake shot without any issues. Forget which magazines but just read an article saying that for snake shot it is recommended being at least a 38/357 caliber. Anything smaller may not dispatch a snake cleanly. Makes sense to me .I own several snakes(hence my name) and would not trust 22 bird shot to kill a venomous snake cleanly if at all

I second just carrying your usual carry gun, if that applies. I assume you won't keep it in your tackle box 24/7.
