    Thanks, that was really helpful. I'm still a newbie to my Garand, so there's a lot I still don't know. Of course, it wouldn't be fun if there was no more to learn.

    1. Congratulations on the M1...great rifle & fun to shoot.
    2. Buy all the ammo you can afford through the CMP while its available. They ran out of the USGI Lake City but the Greek is equally good.
    3. Don't be afraid to shoot the Korean. Just clean the rifle properly afterward because some may have corrosive primers. I own a dozen garands and I use it.
