Direct Action Defensive Knife - One Day Tactical Course Price: $75.00
Our mission is to provide simple, effective concepts and techniques which will allow a user to defend against attacks "across categories" while empty handed or armed with the defensive folding knife or fixed blade.
These concepts and techniques can be extended to heavily encumbered "Direct Action" personnel who find themselves in high risk environments where compactness, economy of motion and mechanical efficiency are paramount.
Areas Covered in Detail
- Diagnoses of Knife Assaults.
- Body Mechanics and Principals.
- ADS Defensive Protocol.
- Targeting classification and Protocol.
- Knife access and deployment considerations.
- Defense structure and posturing.
- The myth of "knife dueling"
- Dangerous vs Effective.
- Blade choice and configuration.
- The nature of attacks (chaotic, non-static and unpredictable)
- The difference between spontaneous attacks and "muggings"
- Lines of attack and narrow focus on response.
* If you suffer from back or neck problems or are pregnant then this might not be the class for you.
Equipment List for the Course
- One quality folding knife (No Karambits, Pikal style knives)

Re: Direct Action Defensive Knife
I typically gear my instruction towards smaller blades. Fixed or folder with a length of 2 1/2"-4 1/2". The still pending TSA approved configuration is still that. "Pending". There are applications that can be geared towards a smaller blade. So to answer your question, yes.
