There is nobody in the Federal government allowed to hear your petition. It's supposed to be ATF, but they have been expressly de-funded for that task, for some years now.

If your prohibitor is both a state and Federal prohibitor, getting state relief means squat (well, except for blackpowder guns, which the Feds ignore). In layman's terms, you need the state to say that the conviction or commitment went away; then the Feds won't use it to prohibit you.

I'm confused as well, what exactly are your questions? The NIAA was primarily aimed at getting the states to share their mental health adjudication data with the NICS system. Pennsylvania now does that. If you have a specific question, I can try to help.

I remember when that started..... pro-gun politicians won't touch it because of the screaming about "Guns for Felons".

I'm just trying to learn as much as possible. 16 years ago I was 302'd. I agreed to go
To hospital to talk to someone but my mother "wanted me admitted.". So here we are today. I never threatened anyone, never threatened myself, and I have no criminal record whatsoever. I breezed through the state relief. Now I am trying to find the best avenue to proceed.
