Default Hb1010 what are they trying to do?

    http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/...r=1010&pn=1227

Why are they trying to repeal this part of the firearm code?

If they repeal that section, all private firearm sales, including long guns, must go through an FFL.

At least that is my understanding. IANAL.

read the text, looks like its only for SBRs, SBS, etc..... says LESS than 18'', 16'' etc.... the first part confuses me, havent seen a pistol with a 15'' barrel lol, so this would mean all pistols pretty much? you need a damn lawyer to read and figure these things out, no wonder so many are signed without reading them fully lol

The provisions contained in subsections (a) and (c)
13shall only apply to pistols or revolvers with a barrel length
14of less than 15 inches, any shotgun with a barrel length of
15less than 18 inches, any rifle with a barrel length of less
16than 16 inches or any firearm with an overall length of less than 26 inches.
Sec. 21. The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.

What I take it to say is that they are repealing the section that says that only pistols, SBSs, SBRs and the such are required to go thru an FFL, meaning that ALL transfers will have to go thru an FFL

I already emailed Vogel and Christiana (My Senator and Rep.) voicing my objections to it.

This doesn't look like it wouldn't work for their purposes because sections (a) and (c) states firearms. The proposed deletion would require the use of the definition of "firearm" under 6102 which is the same.
Hafa Adai! IANAL I merely state my opinion. If I am wrong, please correct me.
