    Default .380 acp vs. 9 mm ...

Pretty simple and straightforward question ... how do they compare ... is there that much of a difference?

I like discussion as much as the next guy, so I usually cut people slack with questions like this. However, you can do your part too and look into it yourself and come up with some intelligent questions/talking points.

There are many reasons I'd rather have 9mm. For one, factory ammo is much cheaper and easier to find. Two, finding bullet heads when I reload is also easier. Three, ballistics favor the 9mm. Four, guns made for 9mm way outnumber 380.
That being said, when watching "The First 48" on cable, there sure are alot of ppl dead because of the 380.

It's because the .380 is Hi Point's cheapest gun.

Simple .380 is probably the smallest caliber you should carry for self defense.
The 9 mm is a much better option for personal protection.

Ahh shit! Someone just had to say it.

What about the 7.62x25 Tokarev? It's got more whoop ass than you can shake a stick at.

Or the .327 Federal Magnum, 5.7x28, or even the .22LR??? A lot of people have died at the business end of a .22.

Simple and straight forward answer...see for yourself. The 9mm clearly out performs the .380, but the .380 will make you need a Bandaid.
