I didn't know there was a 50 rd drum mag for a G17. Claim is it can be loaded faster than the stick 33 rounder. Makes me want to get one of each (gun and mag) for the 'grin' factor. Does anyone have one of these smile producers?

Awesome...how long has that been available? I could really learn to like a G17...50 rounds without a reload? I definitely like. $100 at Bud's, too. Not cheap but not ridiculous, either.

I have one that I bought from buds. Have not shot with it yet, but I did load it up and just cycled a bunch of rounds through and it was feeding fine. Looks awesome too lol.

Bought one for a Theron defense 9 mm carbine that I was supposed to recieve last month- that's been delayed due to some parts issues so I ran the the drum on my 17 which sports the CCF aluminum frame worked flawlessly and its not to hard to load. Overall a good product.

It is certainly cool but I am not sure what added weight and 17 extra rounds get me. Most i have talked to do say that they feed well. For $100 I can have 3 33rd mags (under normal pricing conditions) that I know function flawlessly. If, and Heaven forbid, I ever need such capacity I would choose a semi auto rifle instead.

50 is a nice even number, though. I do agree with you, but as I say, I didn't even know these were out there. Tons of people in my area own, breed, and raise Glocks, and I've never seen one. I've only seen one person with the 33rd mags, and he had 10 or 12 of them. The stick mags would definitely be easier to carry (in a belt or pouch) than the drums would. I think the drums would be good at the range, just for the 'giddy' factor.
