Handgun Books for better shooting??
Hello Fellow Hangunners,
I have been shooting for several years and feel confident and accurate with my ability to handle my handguns, that being said, I still would like to improve and get better and even more accurate with my handgun shooting, quicker with my draw and follow up shots, etc. What books would you guys recommend for me to read that would help me become a better shooter?
Thanks for your suggestions.

Re: Handgun Books for better shooting??
There are a few DVD's out there and one bullseye book that I've seen, but can't remember the exact name of it. The Universities of Google and Youtube can help you as much as anything, IMO, or take an advanced tactical course.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

I will do more google searching, but I was looking more for a book because I like to read before sleep and I was more or less wondering if there was a highly recommended book. Thanks for the link...looks like some good books thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Ignoring your question... invest in a one or two day, professional training class. Several excellent instructors hold classes in the Harrisburg area.
Yes, it's more money up front for tuition and ammo, but, in my experience it's cheaper than burning ammo honing bad habits.
YMMV

Do you have the specific titles of the DVDs or could you recommend some specific instructors? Still looking for some good bedtime reading but I will take any and all advice.

Try YouTube. There is a lot of garbage on Youtube, but a lot of good stuff too.

Re: Handgun Books for better shooting??
Here are some books that I have read, not necessarily on "how to shoot"; but more about defensive pistol use.
In the Gravest Extreme - Massad Ayoob
Principles of Personal Defense - Jeff Cooper
Hit or Myth - Louis Awerbuck
The Combative Perspective - Gabe Suarez
Handgun Combatives - Dave Spaulding
Guns, Bullets, & Gunfights - Jim Cirillo
The Farnam Method of Defensive Handgunning - John Farnam
Effective Defense: The Woman, The Plan, The Gun - By Gila May-Hayes
As for DVDs - I like the Clint Smith DVDsTomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

For the accuracy part, you could look into books/information on 50 meter free pistol. The skills required for free pistol can be transferred to any other shooting discipline. It is arguably one of the most challenging accuracy events for any handgun. It is also an Olympic event. Here is a short video that gives an overview of free pistol. Good luck.
