Default Springfield Range Officer Sights Question

I'm looking to get a set of night sights, or 3-dot novak style sights, not sure which ones though. Has anyone replaced the sights on their R.O.? If so, can you give me some feedback about what you upgraded to and maybe a part number as well? Thanks!

The Novak combat night sights look pretty damn nice. Novak combat sights rock!

Using mine for IDPA so I opted for the Dawson front with thin blade and factory rear.

Probably not what you want, but worth looking at anyway.

As far as I know, Harrison Design is the only company making rear sights that fit the Range Officer's LPA cut. Note: the LPA cut is different from the "Bomar" cut.

If you've found another sight for the LPA cut, let's see it.

I have a Harrison plain black rear sight on mine with a front night sight. Works great. If using the Harrison unit though, you'll likely need to change the factory front sight height to compensate since you're loosing the adjustable rear. Instructions for this are on Harrison's site.

I've been contemplating the Harrison sight for my Range Officer, I see now they have a new version that is a match for the stock front sight:

    PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT !!

The HD-002 rear sight is now being produced in it's Gen II form. We've made a few improvements to the HD-002 such as the sight is now .040" taller so it will be compatible with the Range Officer's standard .180" front sight. The HD-002 sight now has 2 set screws and the sight is offered with either a conventional square notch or a "U" notch, both at .140" width. As production time permits and existing stocks are depleted, this Gen II configuration will be introduced in both of the HD-002 night sight variants.
