2 Drug raids in phila but...

I was thinking the same thing but wasn'tsure if I was being a bit tinfoily. There have been a few other odd doings in Philly. I think the time has come and the goverment is making a move. I don't know if it is local or bigger right now. I am a bit on edge and have been watching what I say when there are people I don't know around.

I imagine drug dealers don't keep drugs lying around if they can help it. That and they probably do their best to hide or dispose of them when the cops show up. Harder to flush a rifle. So maybe not so surprising, unless of course the guy had a tax stamp for the SBR.

So is this the new thing an anonymous tip gets a warrant to raid your house and then your making bombs in your house because you reload ammo?

Two notes:
1. An anonymous tip is NEVER enough to get a warrant granted. Especially for drugs.
2. If he's got powder, threaded pipe and end caps... Or a reasonable combination of materials to build a bomb or pipe bomb... And the totality of the circumstances indicate intention to build a bomb... Such as being in close proximity, on a work bench, with fuses and or shrapnel, then he can be charged with 2716.
But the evidence has to support it. They can't charge a 2716 simply because powder for reloading is in the gun cabinet and excess pipe is loaded in the garage.

I know conspiracy theories are fun, but if you've ever been the one applying for a search warrant, or presenting the evidence in court, you'd see much differently.
