Default Hi point magazine feed trouble

My 9mm hi point jams a lot I shoot usually with 6 to 8 rounds in the clip it seems to jam more when I shoot with more than 4 rounds in clip. How would I fix the feed issue? I has Winchester ammo that's the only ammo I get with 100 rounds. I do have hollow point federal ammo have not fired them yet only want them for when I carry or for my home protection

there is a hi-point forum ( http://www.hipointfirearmsforums.com/forum/usercp.php ) there is a lot of ppl there willing to help with this kind of stuff.. i used this forum a lot when i first got my hi-point... what i was advised to do is to spread the guides on the mag a little and to polish the feed ramp because for some reason hi-point paints them from the factory.. hopefully this helps.. they will not ride you for owning a hi-point over there... and i love my hi-point and trust it with my life every day...

What he said, the mags will cause nose ups all day long, i polished the ramp on mine and spread the mags a bit and it functions flawlessly. I love shooting my hi point, everyone laughs when i pull it out until i shoot out the center of the target with 20 shots at 10 yards.

Its not a gun problem... its a magazine problem. Use a pair of nose pliers to adjust the lips.

The magazine design is poor and the lips will get bent overtime and nose up or nose down.

Steel cases and hollow points could also cause problems. Use brass FMJ if the magazine lip adjustment does not work.

Please, it's a magazine. Clips are what we close our open bag of potato chips with, Tupac.

From what others say, mag lips seem to be an issue. Adjust accordingly, if it doesn't work give them a call.

GO to the Hi Point forum. You can read all about your problems.
They are pretty common problems that Hi Point owners experience
because it's normally their first pistol. It's called, "The Learning Curve."
There's nothing wrong with your pistol. The Magazine needs to be
adjusted. Learn how and you will be shooting smoothly. I still own
my first pistol ,a Hi point 380.cal that I paid $100 for.
It still shoots without a problem unlike some of my other guns that I paid
6X as much for. GOOD SHOOTING!

The guns are reliable but as other said the magazines arent. Hi point will probably send you some free magazines if you call them. They are known for good customer service
