Default Backyard Rifle shooting is legal in Chester county??

I was just told by the Township and the State police that shooting a Rifle in your backyard was completely legal.
I'm not sure this is true as you can only Deer hunt with a Shotgun here...weird.

At least Caln township has a "no discharge of firearms" law

i have no idea how its applied in practice or to hunting as there are several areas open enough for hunting in the township.

Hunting and target shooting are 2 different things. The use of a rifle for hunting is a Game Commission law. Target shooting is not controlled by the Game Commission.

Yeah, the county doesn't matter it's the township. I can't in my commie township but have relatively close neighbors that can. One guy teaches pistol classes in his backyard!
