I"m new here in Kingston
Hey guys,
I just moved into the Kingston area, right across the river from Wilkes-Barre. I was just wondering were the good ranges are, and where the friendly, inexpensive gun stores are, as well as any other info you guys have for me. I am from southeastern PA originally and pretty new to the area. Any help you guys an give would be really appreciated. Thanks guys.

Re: I"m new here in Kingston
Welcome to the Valley. Sweet Valley range off 118 is about the best. Factoryville Sportsmans Club has a great facility (membership required but not for shoots). Advanced Arms, Back Mt. Gunsports for guns. Matts Shooting for supplies...
Pretty much next door to ya!I don't have a catchy phrase to put here!

Chris and Mary at Advanced Arms on Main Street in Pittston are top notch. There is the State Game Land range on 118. There is also a SGL range in Tobyhanna. I think the Tobyhanna range is a nicer set-up, but sometimes you have to be concerned with some of the shooters at Tobyhanna...they're not exactly locals.

Welcome!
+1 on the range out 118. Map for the range http://mapq.st/13tPHHZ. Personally I frequent Piestraks in Nanticoke.

Hey guys,
Thanks for all the info. I was just at Advanced Arms today and it was really really nice. I need to head to the range probably next week just to shoot the pistols some more. Thanks again guys.

Yea, Shawnee gun shop... Shawnee Ave in Plymouth.
Bought plenty of firearms and ammo from Mark through the years. Good prices for firearms, ammo and all accesseries.
Also, Piestrak's in Alden, J&S in W.B. (across from Wegmans), and the newer shop in Kingston on Wyoming Ave...GunHippo.
They all have good deals. Between the 4 of these shops, you could usually find what you want for a good price. It may differ slightly, but I've gotten great deals from all of them through the years."You Gotta Kill it!...To Grill it!"..."Whack 'em an Stack 'em!"

Re: I"m new here in Kingston
I second piestraks near nanticoke and advance arms in pittston. Both have good prices on guns, no panic pricing, plus good people to deal with. The sweet valley public range is ok but the stupid 6 rounds in a hand gun and 3 in a rifle rules are annoying, plus they can get very busy. I recently joined factoyville sportsmans club, great place and only a few minutes farther than the sweet valley range. Very nice facilities and due are only $100 per year, plus they are accepting new members.
Btw, welcome, i'm a neighbor in Forty Fort!
