Default Titanium firing pins - Opinions?

I see that some gun owners swap out the firing pins in their pistols for titanium ones. Other than the obvious benefit of extra strength and a practically insignificant savings in weight, are there any other benefits for doing this?

    Are there any drawbacks?

For guns with floating firing pins, have weak firing pin springs, or lack firing pin blocks - the lower mass of titanium will help prevent slam fires or discharges from drops. ...so, for some guns it is a safety method.

And with low mass hammer, and stronger mainspring, faster lock time will result
