Titanium firing pins - Opinions?
I see that some gun owners swap out the firing pins in their pistols for titanium ones. Other than the obvious benefit of extra strength and a practically insignificant savings in weight, are there any other benefits for doing this?
Are there any drawbacks?

Re: Titanium firing pins - Opinions?
For guns with floating firing pins, have weak firing pin springs, or lack firing pin blocks - the lower mass of titanium will help prevent slam fires or discharges from drops. ...so, for some guns it is a safety method.
