Some of us do, and might even have one. The leather washers wore out after a while but they were an effective means of localized chem warfare delivery. Sometimes written as 'flitgun" (one word).

They show up on ebay one in a while.

I've since those things and knew what they were used for, but never knew what they were called.

Since I'm a "youngin'" here, this is about the only thing I can provide:

Hand a young person a rotary telephone these days and see if they know how to dial out on it! (I can honestly say most high school students these days have never even seen or heard of one!).

Been there, done that. My two figured out our old model 500 pretty fast.

I might be young still, but I go old school for all of my telephone needs. This thing has outlasted the combined lifetime of every modern phone I've ever owned. This thing is still running great and it even works with Comcast's VoIP-esque Digital Voice service, amazingly enough...

i dont remember the FLit

but i do remember 3 channels on tv and having to change the channel with a pair of pliars cuz the knob broke off.. lol and adjusting the rabbit ears every time you did...

i remember (though i was young) sitting in line at the gas station and asking my mom what it mattered if the last number on the license plate was odd or even.

also remember the 72 flood (younger yet) from hurricane Agnus...
