    Default SPS Tactical Stocks - Ghillie or Black

    So which one do you guys like better? I have both but will be getting rid of one. Personally I am leaning towards keeping the black.

    If they are the factory plastic stocks that Remington offers on SPS rifles...I say get rid of both as SPS stocks are pure crap.

    They are the factory stocks. My SPS consistently shoots less than 1 MOA in spite of the flexible stock. I plan on bedding it whick will stiffent it considerably. I do not disagree that the stocks are not top notch, but I'd rather keep it & improve it rather than spend $300 to $400 for a better stock.

    it is polishing a turd. I wouldn't even bother if I'm looking to only looking to get more performance out of it. This is what I'd probably do;

    I bedded my Hogue stock on my 223 700 SPS Tactical for practice before I did my KMW Sentinel. It's still on there. I didn't really notice any vast improvements. It was a sub-1" gun before, and it's still there depending on the ammo. I can't complain, it's my trainer and test mule. If you want to do it, do it. Get the practice in, then save for something nicer down the road. If you use devcon, you'll have enough for later more than one bedding job.

    Same here.

    I ditched the Houge stock on ebay and picked up a B&C Medalist M40 for my SPS Tac 308. I picked it up on special at stockey stocks for just over $200, it looks and works great too.
