Re: Poconos meet/greet/SHOOT May 4th 2013
Snert, I should be able to make it unless something develops between now and May 4th so please add me to the list. If possible can you post a Google Map or Mapquest Map of the location so I can program my Navigation system? Thanks.

Re: Poconos meet/greet/SHOOT May 4th 2013
So we are just a tad bit over one month out. If folks are interested, please sign up. I am going to need a official head count by April 27th. This way I can get the lunch items together.
Snert.

What kinds of guns do people typically bring to an event like this one? I have never done it but would like to consider it. Would there usually be a lot of waiting time for a shooting position?

Snert, can you add me and one person? I talked with someone at work and he is interested in joining. He is taking a day off from work so can make it. Can I please get confirmation that we're able to come? I didn't see my screen name on the list.

LifeInpa, got ya covered.
Folks dont forget there is a cut off date to sign up. Reason , I need to get food and beverages. So for those who are on the fence, Dont forget. I will make provisions for a extra meal or two. But if 5 folks show up un accounted for, I might not have some grub for ya.Last edited by Snert; April 7th, 2013 at 12:03 PM.

Re: Poconos meet/greet/SHOOT May 4th 2013
Anything you want to bring.
Suggestion for all.
If there is something you would like to try/shoot before buying. Post it up, maybe somebody who owns one will bring it. But if this is the case, and your going to try somebody elses firearm. PLEASE bring your own ammo, or offer to buy ammo for the person.
General you want to try it, you get to feed it.
***Now Change in deadline to sign up I need a total headcount by the 30th of April. I need to get the lunch in order and pick up things.
If you signed up and cannot attend, please let me know by the 30th.
I am actually surprised as to the low count we have. With all the folks wanting to go shooting. Here is a great chance to get together and meet your fellow firearms owners. It is nice to put names with faces.
I know here in Pike, there are alot of folks from woodlands, gold key, hemlock and other surrounding communitys. You can meet some of your community members as well.
I will be making alot of phone calls this weekend to some folks for the Cowboy action, idpa, and trap set up. This will get the final ducks in a row.
So come on folks clock is ticking away....Any questions feel free to PM me or post them here.
Snert..

Re: Poconos meet/greet/SHOOT May 4th 2013
Well I talked to some people on PAFOA that live in the general area and wanted to shoot, I will shoot them a PM and let them know of this event. As for why we have such a low turn out I think it's ammo related. Today I am going to call around and see if I can get some leads on ammo. I really don't want to shoot any ammo from my stockpile until I can replenish it some but I have set aside some for this event since I haven't shot my centerfired rifles since November or my pistols/rimfire stuff since December. Still I want to get more and really get a chance to enjoy my firearms since it might be another 5-6 months before I get a chance to shoot some of them.
May I suggest that if you guys got a hold of some common calibers (223/556, 7.62x39, 9mm, 45 ACP, 22LR, etc) and made it available for sale at this event you might have a higher turn out? Maybe since you guys have a range you have better sources for ammo than us?Sanity, yours if you can keep it.....
