I was probably in line with you that day. For those NOT from Delaware County, the Sheriff's office is RIGHT inside the main entrance to the courthouse, just beyond the metal detectors. This is how it went for me on the one Saturday/month that the Sheriff's office was open (9a-2p):
    • Enter the far opposite end of the courthouse, because that's the only open entrance on Saturday.
    • Walk through the entire courthouse to get to the main lobby.
    • Line up along the wall with about 15 people ahead of me to turn in and sign our applications and pay our $20 fee.
    • Shuffle forward slowly for about ½-hour.
    • Hand my app to the Deputy, then sign it and give him my $20.
    • Go back into the lobby to find a comfortable piece of marble floor to sit on for about the next 2+ hours, along with 30-50 of my fellow citizens.
    • When they call my name I go back into the office to wait in another line (with seats ) to have my picture taken and get my receipt.
    • Total time from parking to getting back in the car, about 3½ hours.
Notice I only said I got a receipt. This was just the *beginning* of my 45 day (37 so far) wait. Once I get my letter saying I am approved I have to take my letter, go back, and get in the 1st line *again* to pick up my LTCF.

Sorry if I can't sympathize with folks from counties where wait times have gone from 15 minutes to an hour...

I must have hit Media at the right time. I was in and out in 15 minutes and it took 31 days to get it back. I actually took a friend of mine to file for her LTCF and they checked on the status of mine while I was there and it was ready. Had been ready for a few days.
    Don’t like me ???? Tough, I don’t give a flying f@@k about ya.

That can't be right. According to the media, gun ownership is going down.

My York county renewal was very fast as well. I'm about to send in my Arizona and Utah app. I'll keep an eye on how long those take.
