Basic Targets
Yeah, well I think it is a legitimate question but not sure what is best. Suggestions for basic pistol targets. I see a lot of them out there from basic red/black/white 8.5x11 150 for $8 all the way up to nice birchwood casey types. Not sure what will be good to get started with for basic pistol shooting. Thoughts? Is 8.5x11 too small? Yellow/black better than red/black? Simple question.

Yeah, they are like three pads of 50 for $7.50 plus shipping. Red and black 8.5x11.

Re: Basic Targets
Need to purchase something but getting advice what is best bet for a basic target. There are 150 total for $7.50, the larger ones are more expensive.

Re: Basic Targets
im no novice but certainly no pro either and found them perfect for me.
i even used a magic marker to add more specific placement targets on them for better practice sessions. all the best.

Re: Basic Targets
I make my own out of cardboard to mimic what I would see at an IDPA or USPSA Match. Making the initial template was a little bit of work but now making targets is a snap. Add in a roll of masking tape and a single target lasts me an entire practice session.

I also keep a couple of letter sized targets in my range bag. I found them online and printed them at home.

I'm going to look at those and templates online for free. Good idea.

Re: Basic Targets
Depending on range if allowed, we use basic paper plates with a bright sticker in the middle and draw a round line with marker on inside circle of plate. Cheapest targets around and we love them.
