Need some 1911 help
I'm having a problem with my Springfield 1911 when I shoot or rack the slide the slick lock catches and holds the slide open if you can see in the pics it just catches. Any idea on fixes of ways to solve the problem? Thanks

My first guess is that your thumb is pushing the slide release up.

This. Check the location of your thumb and try racking it with your thumb well away from the slide release.
My other idea was that maybe your grip is too large and the lever is pushed against it. Then, when you rack the slide, the lever is being pushed up against your slide until it reaches the "notch."
However, looking at your pictures, this doesn't appear to be the case. The slide release looks like it has clearance. But it would explain why the slide release is only getting pushed up that tiny little bit.
How long have you had the gun? Did the problem start after a part replacement/upgrade?Everyone should have an AK-47

Where is the original slide release?
How long has this one been with the pistol? Was it working without problems?
