    Exclamation SGL 206 Range Report

I was out there today, the range looked really good. Especially compared to some of the sgl ranges I have been to. Not too many casings on the ground, very little litter, people were taking down their targets and picking up after themselves, benches and backstops were in good shape.

There were 5 people shooting handguns and 4 shooting rifles.

Only saw one person not clean up after himself.

A number of people were not adhering to the round limit, but everyone was being civil and safe.

In case you do not know where it is at:

I haven't been there for a couple of months. The last time someone had been there with a shotgun and destroyed the backstop of the pistol range. They even left the empties.

I actually like when they don't pick up their casings, more brass for me! And just an FYI, if you use a hunting license as your range permit the new year starts on Monday the 1st.

I have been past the range a few times lately to go fishing and it is not crowded and looks in good condition. I always thought this was a nice range. Been going there for years.

My wife and I used to go there all the time. I actually preferred the old lay out better, especially on the right hand side where most people shot their handguns. Shooting at the 15 yard targets wasn't bad, especially with a newer shooter.

I just found out that the changes to the handgun range are part of a young man's Eagle Scout project. Good for him.

I too, have been goin out there for years.
Hate the round limit restriction. Always abide to it there though. Probably seen a few of yas out there through the years.
It is a nice public range. Although, ya always wanta keep your eyes open to make sure everyone is being safe. Never had a problem there. Sighted in many of my rifles over the years there.
